As AAP’s Gopal Italia won the Visavadar seat in Gujarat and his party colleague, Sanjeev Arora, inched closer to victory in the Ludhiana West by-election, Punjab’s AAP in-charge, Manish Sisodia, said it is a “matter of great joy” for every party worker.
“Both seats are very important… This boosts the morale of AAP workers in Punjab. People of Punjab have given their stamp of approval on the works done by the Bhagwant Mann government. They are happy with the work being done,” he told the news agency ANI.
“It was being discussed in Punjab that these are semi-finals. We have won the semi-final, it is now time for THE final,” he said, while referring to the Punjab assembly elections in 2027.
He also praised Mr Italia and said he is a “sharp leader”.
“He will emerge as a strong voice,” Mr Sisodia, the former Delhi deputy chief minister, said.
